All users who register at BarterFriends must submit personal information, including, but not limited to, a working email account and mailing address. This information will be used only for transactions and notices dealing with the BarterFriends website or its members. Your mailing address and email address is shared with any user whom you win an item from on the auction, and your email address is shared with any user whom you sell an item to. This information is provided to users at the close of an auction in which you are the seller or high bidder.
Users on BarterFriends may send messages to other users via the BarterFriends website, to a users personal email account. In doing so, users are not provided the email address of the recipient. You can request that this feature be disabled, so that users are unable to send messages via the website to you by contacting Customer Service.
Sending non-auction related emails to other users is against the BarterFriends rules. If you feel the need to share forwarded messages or any non-auction related emails with another user of BarterFriends, you are required to ask for their approval first. Sending non-auction related items to a users mailing address is strictly prohibited. Doing such can result in termination of your account and forfeiture of all B-Bucks contained within.
By registering with BarterFriends, you agree to receive infrequent announcements pertaining to the BarterFriends website. You can opt-out of these notices at any time by emailing the BarterFriends Customer Service department and requesting that your account be disabled.
